Persons seeking arrangements for temporary
“loading” parking must consult the Parking Services Office prior to
leaving their vehicle in an invalid space. The Parking Services
Office will determine an appropriate parking location and issue a
temporary parking tag which has to be displayed during the
loading/unloading time. Drivers that do not obtain prior approval
will be ticketed and/or towed. Citation appeals received for this
violation will automatically be denied. To request arrangements,
send an e-mail to parking@iit.edu.
Valid parking areas are clearly marked around
campus. If there is not a sign or a meter expressing that you can
park in a certain area, assume you can not park there. In an attempt
to maintain the beauty of the campus, we have not posted signs
everywhere it is illegal to park. We do have signs indicating every
lot and area where you can park.
The Parking Services will
automatically tow any vehicle that has been abandoned. Contact the
Parking Services Office if your car becomes unmovable during our
business hours; otherwise contact Public Safety at
312.808.6300.

hangtag should obtain a one day replacement tag. Failure to do so
will result in a parking violation. Permit
holders are entitled to one courtesy waiver per year for this
violation.Citation Appeals submitted for this reason will be

issue if employment has terminated or the student has officially
withdrawn from the university. Customers that are uncertain as to
their duration of stay have the option of purchasing parking on a
semester basis. When choosing a permit, keep in mind that an annual
permit is more economical than a semester permit.

found in the possession of an individual that is not the registered
owner of that permit will be confiscated by the Parking Services
Office and the vehicle displaying it will be ticketed and/or
