2005-2006 Faculty & Staff Parking

Parking Renewals/Applications

The parking renewal period for IIT faculty and staff is well under way. Those who have yet to apply may still submit renewals/applications. Parking applications and detailed instructions for the application process can be found on this page.

ProxPass
The ProxPass vehicle transponder is an alternative to ID card access for parking lot entrance. Attached to the windshield, it enables drivers to pass through the parking gates without pulling out their ID card. Card access is still available on the ID card. This year, the ProxPass will be available for rental for an additional cost of $3.00/month.

ProxPass Tidbits

              The ProxPass is available to those Main Campus permit holders                    that select one of the following options:
                  
                   Annual Permit: September-August
                   Fall & Spring: September-May

              ProxPass units must be rented for the duration of the parking                   permit.Individuals that do not use payroll deduction will need to                   pay the rental fee in one lump sum.
     
                 Annual-$36.00
                 Fall & Spring-$27.00

             Faculty and Staff that decide to rent a ProxPass after purchasing                  their parking permit will not be able to utilize payroll deduction.

Current ProxPass holders that renew without a ProxPass Rental must return their ProxPass to the Hawkcard and Parking Services Office by September 2, 2005 at 5:00 p.m. Failure to do so will result in the deactivation of ID card parking access. The fee of $50.00 will be billed to the ProxPass holder.

The online renewal period for staff and faculty parking has closed. Please stop by our office to renew/obtain your parking permit. Your application will be processed immediately.

Parking Rates

The annual rate for parking on IIT's Main Campus for 2005-06 has been designated @ $475.00. IIT employees will receive a $100.00 discount bringing the annual cost for Main Campus parking to $375.00. The U.S. Cellular rate will be $70.00 standard and $100.00 for * U.S. Cellular Plus. All payroll deductions for the 2005-06 year will begin in September.

*U.S. Cellular Plus will enable permit holders to park in Main Campus lots June-August.

 

Parking Citations

ALL PAST DUE PARKING TICKETS MUST BE PAID PRIOR TO A RENEWAL/APPLICATION BEING APPROVED. Faculty and Staff may payroll deduct their parking citations. The citation deduction form is available below. Please contact the HawkCard & Parking Services Office at 312.567.8968 if you wish to check to see if you have outstanding parking violations. Be prepared to provide your vehicle license plate number when checking on your outstanding parking violations.

Reminder: Appeals for parking tickets that have exceeded the seven day grace period will automatically be denied!
